Sprouted Smoothie (Broccoli Sprout Smoothie)

Part of the reason broccoli is considered to be such a powerful, cancer-fighting vegetable is because of its high sulforaphane content. This healing nutrient is found in all cruciferous vegetables.

Here’s the crazy part, though — broccoli sprouts contain 10-100 times more sulforaphane than the mature broccoli plant. Pretty amazing, right?

Broccoli sprouts and other microgreens are starting to show up in natural grocery stores more and more, and you can also grow them at home fairly easily for a fraction of the price.

So give your green smoothie a serious upgrade, and throw some broccoli sprouts in there today!
